Israeli Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar has requested that the citizenship of Ataa Jaber, an athlete who plays football for the Palestinian national team, be revoked, according to Israeli media.

The call came after the football player, a Palestinian citizen of Israel, observed a minute's silence for Gaza during a match against Lebanon last week.

In a letter to Interior Minister Moshe Arbel, Zohar requested that Jaber's citizenship be revoked due to his “clear identification with terrorists”.

“During the game, Jaber expressed identification with the enemy when he stood for a minute of silence in memory of ‘the victims in Gaza’ while ignoring the murdered on the Israeli side and identifying with the Nazi terrorist organisation Hamas,” the minister said.

Exclusive footage inside Gaza's Indonesian Hospital, which was shared on Al-Jazeera Arabic on Tuesday, shows the widespread destruction inside the building, which has been under Israeli siege for days.

Ceilings in some wards have totally collapsed; windows have been smashed and blood streaks the walls. Dead bodies are also clearly visible in the footage.

Equipment, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, MRI and X-ray machines are also completely destroyed.

Israeli tanks surround the building and there has been no electricity since the start of the siege. Journalists inside the hospital said that anyone who moves is being shot at.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister reiterated calls for a ceasefire during a meeting with Muslim and Arab League diplomats in Moscow on Tuesday.

“There is no excuse for such atrocities with the claim of self-defence,” he said, saying that there must be an “immediate ceasefire and end to the siege”.

“We cannot talk about the future of Gaza until we have a ceasefire and Israel stops the targeting of civilians,” he added.

Representatives from Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan and Palestine are also present at the meeting.

A World Health Organisation (WHO) spokesperson said on Tuesday that three hospitals in Gaza have requested help with evacuating patients and said that planning was underway.

WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmeier said that the three hospitals were Al Shifa, from which a group of babies has already been rescued, Indonesian Hospital and Al Ahli Hospital.

He said such an event was a last resort, as Israeli bombardment and siege has left patients without healthcare and staff unable to assist them.

"It's robbing the entire population of the north of the means to seek health (care)," he told a Geneva press briefing.

Two journalists for al-Mayadeen have been killed following an Israeli attack on south Lebanon, the news agency said.

The journalists have been identified as correspondent Farah Omar and cameraman Rabih al-Me’mari.

Earlier this month, the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, warned Israel against any more attacks on Lebanon.

“All options are on the table on the Lebanese front,” he said. If Israel continues targeting civilians in Lebanon, “then we will go back to ‘a civilian for a civilian’.”

In an interview with CNN, the former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak said that Israel “helped build bunkers under al-Shifa Hospital”.

Barak said that Israel had built the bunkers when asked about his view that there is a “command centre” at al-Shifa.

“It is already known for many years that there are bunkers that were originally built by Israeli constructors underneath al-Shifa and were used as command centre by Hamas, as part of the system. I don’t know to what extent it is used as a major one, but it has for sure been used by Hamas,” he said.

When pressed to clarify, Barak maintained that Israeli engineers constructed the bunkers.

“Decades ago, they were running the place, we [Israel] helped them build these bunkers to create more space for operations of the hospital within the limited size of the complex,” he added.

The interviewee challenges Barak, saying that Israel is yet to show conclusive evidence that Hamas is using al-Shifa Hospital as a command centre.

Her social media post reportedly read: “This will remain the greatest day in the history of Palestine,” believed to be in reference to the 7 October attack on Israel.

An 80-year-old woman has been killed in an Israeli air strike on southern Lebanon, according to the country’s state-run media.

The woman’s granddaughter was also wounded in the attack.

“Enemy aircraft raided inhabited houses in Kfar Kila, leading to the death of citizen Laiqa Sarhan, 80, and the wounding of her granddaughter,” the official National News Agency said.

The death marks the 11th civilian casualty in Lebanon since the start of the war on 7 October.

Earlier this month, the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, warned that if Israel conducts any major operation against Lebanon, they “would be committing the biggest foolishness in your history and the history of your presence”.

He added that if Israel continues targeting civilians in Lebanon, “then we will go back to ‘a civilian for a civilian’.”
