At least 322 children killed in Gaza since Israel resumed war: Unicef

The UN children's agency Unicef said on Monday that 322 children have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed its war on the Strip on 18 March, while 609 other children have been wounded.

This constitutes "a daily average of more than 100 children killed or maimed over the past 10 days," Unicef said in a statement.

"Most of these children were displaced, sheltering in makeshift tents or damaged homes. These figures include children who were reportedly killed or injured when the surgical department of Al Nasser Hospital, in southern Gaza, was struck in an attack on 23 March."

After nearly 18 months of Israel's war on Gaza, more than 15,000 children have been killed, and more than 34,000 have been injured.

Nearly one million Palestinian children have been repeatedly displaced.
