Activists project Gaza documentary, pulled by BBC, onto its building
A group of pro-Palestine activists projected the documentary Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone onto a BBC building in Glasgow in protest against the broadcaster’s decision to remove it from its streaming service.
The activists, part of the Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee, criticised the BBC’s move, calling it “shameful.”
In a statement shared on X, they said: “We’re showing it right back to them. For the children of Gaza.”
The BBC pulled its documentary about children in Gaza from iPlayer after mounting pressure over a featured child, 13-year-old Abdullah al-Yazouri, being the son of a Palestinian minister, in a move some commentators have slammed as "cowardly".
Hundreds of British celebrities signed a petition calling for the BBC to restore the documentary on Gaza that has been pulled after complaints from pro-Israel activists.
Shamefully, the BBC pulled its showing of How To Survive a Warzone.
