Ceasefire negotiations on hold until after Iran retaliation, replacement of Haniyeh: Report

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire are currently on hold and are not expected to resume until after Iran carries out its promised retaliation against Israel for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

The negotiations are also on pause until Hamas selects a replacement for its politburo chief, according to two officials familiar with the situation, reported The Times of Israel.
