Death toll from Jabalia, Bureij rises to 17

The death toll from Israel’s predawn attacks on northern Jabalia and the central Bureij camps has risen to 17, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.

Israeli forces are reportedly demolishing residential buildings in the Jabalia refugee camp and the nearby town of Beit Lahiya, both located in North Gaza governorate, which has been under siege since 6 October.

The Israeli military claims the operation aims to prevent Hamas from regrouping, but critics argue it seeks to depopulate northern Gaza to establish a “buffer zone”.
