Egypt's Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatar's emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, united in Doha today, demanding an immediate Gaza ceasefire and urgent aid delivery. Their joint statement warned of Gaza's escalating crisis while stressing the Palestinian cause's "centrality" to Arab nations.
The leaders pushed for Palestinian reconciliation, backing Egypt's reconstruction plan endorsed by the Arab League. "The two sides... stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to achieve an immediate and sustainable ceasefire," their declaration stated, vowing to alleviate Palestinians' suffering.
