EU announces sanctions on far-right Israeli organisations and individuals

The EU has agreed to impose sanctions against four people and two entities over Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank.

Among those listed is Lehava, a far-right Jewish supremacist group that gained notoriety in Israel for attempting to prevent marriages between Jews and Arabs.

Also sanctioned was Hilltop Youth, a far-right settler group. Two leading figures of Hilltop Youth, Meir Ettinger and Elisha Yered are also to receive sanctions, the EU said in a statement.
