Good evening Middle East Eye readers,
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blocked all aid from entering Gaza after Hamas refused to implement Israel's plan to extend the first phase of the ceasefire deal.
Here are the latest updates:
- Hamas called Israel’s aid blockade a violation of the ceasefire agreement and urged Israel to respect the original terms.
- The UN labelled Israel's move "alarming" and several countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar and Jordan denounced the decision as in contravention of international law.
- The UK government told MEE it was "concerned" by the developments, while the EU condemned Hamas but not Israel.
- Israeli forces carried out several attacks across Gaza, with medical sources saying the attacks had killed at least four people.
