Football match between Turkish and Israeli team moved to a neutral venue

A Europa league match between Turkey's Besiktas and Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv was moved to a neutral location in Hungary, European football body Uefa announced on Tuesday.

The match was supposed to take place in Turkey on 28 November, but the Turkish government opted not to host the tie. The decision by Turkish authorities was taken before incidents in Amsterdam last week.

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans provoked locals in Amesterdam when they chanted anti-Arab slurs, tore down Palestinian flags and attacked taxi drivers. Some residents responded by violently attacking the Israelis.
