Foundation identifies Israeli unit behind Hind Rajab's killing
The Hind Rajab Foundation has revealed the identity of the Israeli military unit and commander allegedly responsible for killing the six-year-old Palestinian girl, her family, and two medics in Gaza last January.
According to the foundation's year-long investigation, an Israeli tank unit under the commander's orders attacked the family's civilian vehicle, then destroyed a Red Crescent ambulance sent to rescue Hind.
"We will pursue every officer involved – from those who gave orders to those who covered it up," the group stated, calling for ICC arrest warrants.
On 29 January 2024, Hind survived the initial tank strike that killed her relatives, pleading via phone with dispatchers: "I'm so scared...please come." The ambulance responding to her call was similarly hit, killing both paramedics instantly.
