Gaza civil defence members killed in Israeli attacks
Gaza's civil defence announced that one of its members, Nabil Abdul Raouf, was killed in an Israeli bombing of a building belonging to the rescue service on Tuesday.
Raouf is one of several civil defence members killed by Israel on Tuesday alone, with firefighter Najib Naji Sakr being killed by Israel earlier in the day.
One civil defence member, Ahmed al-Madhoun, described the scenes of one of the Israeli attacks to Al Jazeera.
"We received an emergency stress message…. calling for help to extinguish a fire that broke out as a result of an Israeli air strike on a residential building," said Madhoun.
"We rushed to the scene. On the way, we received a call telling us that the site we were heading to has just been pounded again. We went and found dozens killed, including our fellow civil defence team members shredded to pieces."
