Gaza health ministry: Israeli army 'tightening siege on al-Shifa hospital'

Israeli forces are "tightening… [the] siege of the al-Shifa Hospital" by detaining people in the Human Resources Department, a section of the hospital that is not equipped for healthcare, according to Gaza's health ministry.

The ministry called on the international community to "intervene to save their lives".

The hospital has been under siege since 18 March when Israeli forces stormed the compound in Gaza City. An estimated 30,000 people including displaced civilians, wounded patients and medical staff were sheltering there.
