Gaza’s education system in ruins, 15,000 children killed or missing

Gaza’s Ministry of Education has revealed the devastating toll of Israel’s assault on the enclave, reporting that more than 15,000 school-age children have been killed or are missing, alongside over 800 education workers.

The ministry also said that at least 50,000 students have been wounded, while 95 percent of Gaza’s schools and educational facilities have suffered direct damage.

With 85 percent either completely or partially destroyed, the education system has been left in near-total collapse.
