Hamas blames Israel for misinformation, says it received no new truce proposal
Hamas official Taher al-Nunu blamed Israel for spreading misinformation about the negotiation process and presenting new offers.
"We have not received any new proposals regarding a prisoner exchange deal within the ceasefire agreement. We are ready to release all prisoners in exchange for a prisoner exchange deal, a ceasefire, and the reconstruction of Gaza," he told Al Jazeera Arabic.
"The administration of the Gaza Strip is a Palestinian affair, and we do not accept the presence of any foreign administration or foreign forces. The resistance's weapons are not up for negotiation, and will remain so as long as the occupation persists."
Hamas also announced in a statement that a delegation headed by senior official Khalil al-Hayya has departed for Cairo to meet representatives from Qatar and Egypt "as part of efforts to reach an agreement."
