Hamas says it has no knowledge of alleged Rafah attack

Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, has reaffirmed its full commitment to the truce deal that came into effect last week.

The statement comes amid Israeli attacks across the besieged enclave, which the military said is a response to the Palestinian movement "violating" the ceasefire agreement.

"We are not aware of any incidents or clashes taking place in the Rafah area, which are red zones under the control of the occupation, and contact with our remaining groups there has been cut off since the resumption of the war in March of this year," the military wing affirmed.

"We have no information on whether they have been killed or are still alive since that date."

The group added that it was not involved in any of the incidents in the areas where Israel has alleged breaches took place.
