Hezbollah media chief killed in area displaced Lebanese were sheltering

An Israeli strike has killed Mohammad Afif, Hezbollah's media relations chief, in the densely populated Ras al-Nabaa neighbourhood of Beirut, according to sources cited by Reuters.

Many people displaced from the capital's southern suburbs by Israeli bombardment had sought refuge in Ras al-Nabaa.

The Lebanese health ministry said the strike killed one and wounded three others.

Security sources told Reuters the Israeli air raid struck a building where the offices of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party were located.

The party's chief in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, told Lebanese broadcaster Al-Jadeed that Afif was in the building at the time.
