Hundreds attend funeral in Turkey for Turkish-American activist killed by Israel in West Bank

Hundreds of mourners, waving Turkish and Palestinian flags, gathered on Saturday for the funeral of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a Turkish-American activist who was killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.

A ceremonial guard carried the 26-year-old's coffin, draped in a Turkish flag.

"The blood of Aysenur Eygi is as sacred as that of every Palestinian martyr, and we will pursue justice for it to the very end. As the Turkish nation, we are fully committed, and as a state, we are fully committed," said parliament speaker Numan Kurtulmus to reporters.
