Iran’s president holds cabinet meeting amid fears of wider conflict

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday as tensions mount over possible Israeli attacks and growing speculation about US involvement in the conflict, according to Tasnim news agency.

The session took place at the presidential palace earlier this morning, the agency said.

Images published by Tasnim showed First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref seated alongside other senior officials during the meeting.
