Israel calls Qatar mediation to reach Gaza ceasefire 'problematic'

Israel’s Channel 12 aired recordings of the increasingly embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu telling relatives of captives held in Gaza that Doha acting as a mediator in the conflict is “problematic”.

Netanyahu appeared to express disappointment with Washington for not applying more pressure on the Gulf state, which hosts Hamas leaders, the Times of Israel reported. 

Netanyahu's political future would likely also end if the war in Gaza stops.
