Israel claims airstrikes hit Iran nuclear and weapons sites

The Israeli military says dozens of its fighter jets bombed sites across Iran in the latest round of airstrikes, claiming to target facilities tied to Tehran’s nuclear and weapons production.

In a statement shared via Telegram, the military said:

  • “More than 50 Israeli Air Force planes carried out an attack in Iran in recent hours,” hitting a “centrifuge production site” and “several weapons productions sites.”

  • The strikes were part of “the extensive effort to damage Iran’s nuclear weapons development programme.”

  • Additional targets included facilities producing “raw materials and components” for both surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles.

Iran has repeatedly denied seeking nuclear weapons, a position supported by the most recent assessments from the UN nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, and the US intelligence community.
