Israel claims killing of top Iranian military chief

The Israeli military says it has killed Ali Shadmani, describing him as the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces and the country’s highest-ranking military officer.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the army called Shadmani the most senior commander it has targeted since launching strikes on Iran last week.
Iran has not yet confirmed his death.
