Israel condemned for blocking release of seventh prisoner batch

The head of the Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority has denounced Israel’s refusal to release the seventh batch of Palestinian detainees, calling it a “crime” that exposes the occupation’s “immoral and inhuman mentality.”

“This manipulation and delay have caused a state of tension and confusion for the prisoners’ families,” the official stated, condemning Israel’s continued stalling tactics. He urged Egyptian and Qatari mediators to apply pressure on Israel’s negotiating team to ensure the release happens without further obstruction.

According to the authority, intensive discussions are ongoing with multiple parties, stressing that Israel “will be forced” to comply in the coming hours or days.
