Israel extends Palestinian prisoner's administrative detention for third time
Israeli authorities have extended the administrative detention of Khalida Jarrar for the third time, forcing her to stay in Israeli prison for another six months, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Club.
The organisation added that Jarrar's solitary confinement has also been extended for another month. Jarrar has been placed under solitary confinement for 134 days.
The Palestinian rights activist was arrested in December 2023 from her home in Ramallah, where she was placed under administrative detention, where a person is held without a trial or without any charges against them.
According to the rights group Addameer, Jarrar is being held in a cell that is two by one-and-a-half metres, which the group says "is barely enough room for a mattress".
She has served several stints in Israeli prisons, and during a previous imprisonment, she suffered the loss of her daughter.
The occupation renews the administrative detention of administrative detainee Khalida Jarrar for the third consecutive time for an additional six months and extends her isolation for another month.
