Israel kills teen in the occupied West Bank

Israeli forces shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian boy at dawn on Wednesday near Ni'lin, west of Ramallah.

The Palestinian health ministry identified the victim as Hassan Yousef Hassan al-Shaer who was killed by bullets fired by Israeli forces.

Wafa news agency reported that Shaer, who was also a poet, was from the town of Habla, south of Qalqilya. His body has been detained by the occupation forces.

Shaer was the eldest son in his family, which resides in Jericho. According to his family, he was on his way to visit friends in Ramallah.

Following Shaer’s death, the number of people killed in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since 7 October has risen to 706, including 160 children, 10 women, and nine elderly individuals.
