Israel orders Lebanese to leave their homes as it pummels south with air strikes

The Israeli military told residents in Lebanon to leave their homes on Monday as its air strikes killed and wounded dozens of Lebanese people in heavy bombing.

The outskirts of several towns and villages in the south and the Beqaa valley in the east were targeted with air strikes, according to Lebanese broadcaster al-Manar.

Strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least four people and wounded over 26 others, according to al-Mayadeen.

A rocket hit an uninhabited mountainside east of Jbeil, a historic coastal town north of Beirut also known as Byblos, state media reported.

The Lebanese health ministry said that at least one person was killed and six wounded by an Israeli strike on the Hermel region in the northeast.
