Israel says it has struck underground enrichment centrifuges at Iran's Natanz

The Israeli army says it has struck and damaged Iran's underground uranium enrichment centrifuges during its attacks on Friday.

In a statement, the military said the underground area contains "a multi-storey enrichment hall with centrifuges, electrical rooms and additional supporting infrastructure".

It added that "critical infrastructure enabling the site's continuous operation and the Iranian regime's ongoing efforts to obtain nuclear weapons were targeted".
