Israeli army detains two girls, 16 other Palestinians in West Bank raids

The Israeli army has detained at least 18 Palestinians in raids in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, according to a joint statement by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society.

Those detained include two girls and former prisoners, the statement said. The raids took place in Hebron, Qalqilya, Tubas and Ramallah.

“The raids were marked by abuse, threats against detainees and their families, and acts of vandalism and destruction on citizens’ homes,” the statement added.

This brings the number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 2023 to more than 11,600.
