Israeli army plans fresh assault on Jenin refugee camp

Israel’s military and Shin Bet security agency are preparing a new wave of operations in the Jenin refugee camp, escalating their assault on the occupied West Bank.

Following a situation assessment, Israel’s military chief of staff and Shin Bet’s director issued a statement declaring their intent to launch further attacks.

“We are prepared to carry out a series of operations in Jenin camp that will move the camp to a different situation,” the statement read, hinting at a broader crackdown.

The statement also framed the assault as part of a wider campaign, saying, “We are in a multi-front war, and now it is the turn of the northern West Bank area."
