Israeli cabinet votes to shut down Al Jazeera's operations: Reports

Multiple news agencies are reporting that the Israeli cabinet has voted to shut down Al Jazeera's operations in Israel.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz said that the Israeli government voted unanimously to shut down Al Jazeera in Israel, while Reuters is also reporting that the Israeli cabinet has voted to kick out the Qatar-based news agency.

The cabinet vote came after Israel's parliament passed a law allowing the temporary closure in Israel of foreign broadcasters considered to be a threat to national security during the war on Gaza.
