Israeli forces detain 16 Palestinians in West Bank raids

Israeli forces detained 16 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank overnight, including several former prisoners.

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a joint statement that the arrests took place in several areas, including Jerusalem, Hebron, Jenin, Qalqilya and Nablus.

Witnesses reported that the detainees and their families were threatened and their homes were damaged during the raids.

Since 7 October, over 10,000 Palestinians have been detained from the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, according to the statement.
