Israeli forces detain journalists in Jenin, occupied Jerusalem

Israeli forces briefly detained several journalists near the Jenin Government Hospital in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency is reporting, citing local sources.

According to the sources, the journalists were arrested while covering the Israeli military's siege  around the hospital and its attempts to storm the hospital’s yard. Soldiers stopped the journalists from reporting and forced them to leave the area.

The agency also reported that in a separate incident, Israeli soldiers detained journalist Ahmad Jalajel from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem.

Wafa said that Jalajel had previously been detained and interrogated by Israeli soldiers at his home in the Silwan neighbourhood on Wednesday during Iftar time.
