Israeli forces intensify searches and identity checks at checkpoints near Nablus

Israeli forces have intensified searches and identity checks on Palestinians at checkpoints near Nablus, Wafa news agency is reporting, citing local sources.

According to the sources, Israeli forces intensified security measures at the Beit Furik checkpoint east of Nablus and the al-Muraba'ah checkpoint to the south, where settlers were also said to be present.

The measures led to a severe traffic jam, compelling Palestinians observing Ramadan to break their fast at the checkpoint.
