Israeli forces to seize land near Jenin in West Bank

Israeli forces have issued orders to seize approximately 12 hectares (30 acres) of land in Jalboun, a town north of Jenin, according to local officials.

The mayor of Jalboun, Ibrahim Abu al-Rab, told Wafa news agency that troops entered the town and delivered notices confirming the planned confiscation of farmland in its southern area.

He stated that the land belongs to the local residents who cultivated it with olive trees for over 50 years.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities seized about of half a hectare of privately owned land in February and allocated around 1,600 hectares (3,950 acres) for use by settlers as grazing land.
