Israeli labour court rules general strike must end

Israel's Labour Court has ruled that the general strike which has shut down much of the country's economy must end at 2:30pm local time, according to court documents seen by Reuters.

Israel's main trade union launched the general strike to urge Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu into agreeing to a ceasefire deal in Gaza after the deaths of six captives in Gaza triggered mass protests.
