Israeli military says it killed Palestinian police general

The Israeli military said it killed a Palestinian police general in the Gaza Strip during its ongoing raid on al-Shifa hospital.
Faiq Mabhouh, the director general of operations at Gaza's internal security body, was killed in a fire exchange, the military said in a statement.
Middle East Eye could not independently verify the claim.
