Israeli official says Israel was not involved in death of Iranian president

An Israeli official told Reuters that Israel was not involved in the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

The helicopter crash comes just as Iran’s relations with Israel recently reached new lows. 

Last month the two countries exchanged fire, sparked by an Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Iran is also a strong supporter of Hezbollah and Hamas.
