Israeli settlers attack Palestinian homes in Hebron

Armed Israeli settlers have raided several homes in the village of Bireen, southeast of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to Wafa news agency. 

Fareed Burqan, the head of the Bireen village council, told Wafa that armed settlers, protected by Israeli soldiers, stormed the village on Thursday and raided homes belonging to the al-Azzam and Burqan families.

The settlers reportedly searched the homes, stole money and destroyed residents' belongings, including by vandalising an electronic device belonging to a child with special needs. 

The raid left the affected families with financial losses and emotional trauma, Wafa reported.
