Israeli settlers raid Al-Aqsa Mosque

Scores of Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli police, raided Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem on Sunday morning.

The settlers entered the compound in groups and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, according to Palestinian media. 

Al-Aqsa Mosque is an Islamic site where, under decades-old international agreements, unsolicited visits, prayers, and rituals by non-Muslims are prohibited.

Israeli groups, with the backing of authorities, have repeatedly violated these agreements by facilitating raids and performing religious rituals at the site.
