‘It is essential to avoid ethnic cleansing’ in Gaza: UN chief

UN secretary general Antonio Guterres is expected to say in a UN meeting scheduled today how it is "essential to avoid ethnic cleansing" while dealing with the situation in Gaza after the war.

According to UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, Guterres will reaffirm the two-state solution and say that “it is vital that we stay true to the bedrock of international law”.

 “We must not make the problem worse,” his spokesperson added.
