Lebanon PM condemns deadly Israeli strikes on medical team
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned Israel’s deadly attack on paramedics, calling it “a blatant violation of international laws and human values.”
The Amal movement, an ally of Hezbollah, confirmed that two of its members were among the victims, stating they were killed "while carrying out their humanitarian and national duty defending Lebanon and the south."
Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad reported that since October, 27 emergency personnel and health workers have been killed, and 94 others wounded due to Israeli strikes. Additionally, two hospitals and 21 health centers have been "targeted," and 32 fire trucks or ambulances have been "put out of service or partially damaged." The minister called for an end to the "repeated and deliberate targeting of health workers and civilians."
