Live Blog Update| Israel's genocide in Gaza

Morning update

Good morning Middle East Eye readers,

Here are the latest updates:

  • Israeli forces killed 33 Palestinians, including 13 children, in a dawn strike on Jabalia refugee camp, Wafa news is reporting. The attack targeted a family home where displaced families were sheltering, flattening the building. Many others were injured, some seriously, and many more are believed to be trapped under the rubble.

  • Meanwhile, Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon escalated overnight, with Tyre, known in Arabic as Sour, and Bint Jbeil targeted by war planes and drones. Fifteen people were killed in an attack on a civil defence centre in Derqim Ras al-Ain.

  • Dr Hossam Abu Safia, the director of the besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, has called for "essential supplies" and ambulances, as well as the lifting of the siege on northern Gaza. He said that the hospital is receiving calls about people trapped beneath rubble. "This reality is unbearable," he said.
