Morning update: Day 151 of Israel's war on Gaza

It's just after 8:00 am (6:00 GMT) in Palestine and Israel. Here are the latest developments on day 151 of Israel's war on Gaza: 

  • Israeli jets pounded the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning with several air strikes, killing at least eight Palestinians, according to local media.

  • Israeli forces opened fire again at crowds gathered in Gaza City to receive aid trucks late on Monday. According to Al Jazeera, several people were wounded.

  • An elderly Palestinian man, identified as Abdel Rahman al-Dahdouh, died from malnutrition in Gaza City.

  • In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces re-arrested Hanan Barghouti, a 59-year-old mother released in the November prisoner swap deal between Israel and Hamas, Wafa news agency reported.

  • A group of lawyers have referred Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to the ICC, accusing him of complicity in the alleged genocide in Gaza.
