Nearly 800,000 students in Gaza denied education by Israel: Report
The Ministry of Education says Israel’s war has severely impacted Gaza’s education sector, leaving hundreds of thousands of students without access to schooling.
The ministry reported on Tuesday in a report carried by Wafa that:

788,000 students in Gaza have been out of school since 7 October 2023

For the second year, high school students in Gaza couldn’t take exams

352 public schools damaged, 111 completely destroyed

91 public and 89 Unrwa schools bombed

20 higher education institutions severely hit, with 60 university buildings destroyed

152 schools and 8 universities stormed in the West Bank

School walls destroyed in Jenin, Tulkarm, Bruqin and Kafr al-Dik

6 Unrwa schools in Jerusalem remain shut since 8 May

12 kindergartens for displaced children have opened in Jenin, Tulkarm and Qabatiya
The ministry confirmed that high school exams have begun in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
