Netanyahu bars entry of mobile homes and heavy equipment into Gaza

Israel's national broadcaster Kan has reported that Netanyahu has decided to bar the entry of mobile homes and heavy equipment into Gaza, following security consultations.

This is contrary to the ceasefire agreement which stipulates that Israel must allow the entry of at least 60,000 temporary homes and 200,000 tents into Gaza during the phase of the agreement.

Gaza's Government Media Office has condemned the move as "a clear evasion of its pledges and obligations" in the ceasefire with Hamas.

"[It] is an explicit declaration of its failure to the agreement," a statement by the office said on Telegram, adding that the refusal "shows the whole world who is the party obstructing the agreement".

Northern Gaza authorities reported that no mobile homes or tents have entered the area.
