Netanyahu delays sending negotiating team to discuss phase two of Gaza ceasefire: Report

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided not to send Israel’s negotiations team to Qatar for talks about phase two of the Gaza ceasefire, Israeli news site Walla reported on Saturday.

Netanyahu is delaying a decision until he meets with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

Netanyahu canceled a meeting on Saturday night with Mossad chief David Barnea, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, hostage envoy Nitzan Alon, the site said. He told them they would not be traveling to Qatar for talks.

Netanyahu wants his close ally Ron Dermer, Israel's Strategic Affairs Minister, to handle future talks.
