Netanyahu says Israel and Trump have 'common strategy' on Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel and US President Donald Trump share a "common strategy" on Gaza's future.

In a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio following a meeting in West Jerusalem, Netanyahu said the two had discussed Trump's "bold vision" for Gaza's future.

He added that they would "work to ensure that vision becomes a reality", and thanked Rubio for his "unequivocal backing" of Israel's policy in Gaza.

Rubio said that Hamas "must be eliminated".
