Netanyahu set to expand military operations in Lebanon

Israeli Channel 13 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to expand military operations on the northern front.

Netanyahu stated, "We are about to launch a broad and powerful operation on the northern front."

On Sunday, Haaretz reported that Israel’s security cabinet is expected to approve including "the return of residents of the north to their homes" as a goal of the war. This marks the first official mention of northern military objectives in Israel’s stated aims. Previously, objectives had been framed in terms of "protecting the country’s borders and its citizens."
