Netanyahu's goal is 'creeping occupation' of Gaza: Haaretz editor

Haaretz editor-in-chief Aluf Benn said in an analysis that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "torpedoing" ceasefire negotiations because his end goal is a "prolonged occupation of the Gaza Strip".

Benn believes that Netanyahu is planning a "creeping occupation" of the Gaza Strip, "caravan after caravan, outpost after outpost".

He added that Netanyahu's latest insistence on preserving Israeli presence on the Philadelphi corridor and the Netzarim crossing illustrate these intentions.
