Unrwa chief: One child gets killed every hour in Gaza
The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, said on Wednesday that one child is killed every hour in Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire in a post on X.
"These are not numbers. These are lives cut short," Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini was quoted as saying in the post.
The Israeli parliament in October passed two laws banning Unrwa from operating inside Israel and occupied Palestine, despite international pressure urging Israel not to implement the ban.
Unrwa is the primary source of humanitarian assistance for Palestinians in both Palestine and neighbouring countries hosting Palestinian refugees.
