Palestinian Authority says Israel's attacks on Gaza part of policy to 'obliterate Palestinian existence'

The Palestinian Authority has slammed Israel for an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp on Thursday that killed scores of people.

The PA's foreign affairs ministry condemned, in a statement on Friday, the "brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza”.

The ministry said the attack was a "direct consequence" of the international community's failure to stop Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip.

The PA said the strike is part of a "calculated policy aimed at obliterating Palestinian existence in the Strip, dismantling any prospect of the realization of a Palestinian state, and reducing the Palestinian cause to a mere humanitarian issue requiring aid programs".
